Most Important Things You Need To Know About Healing
by Pastor Dana A. Holmes

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in HEALTH, even as thy soul prospereth.
3 John 2

Healing is not always instantaneous. Just because you do not see what you’re believing for is not proof that it does not exist. Mark 11:23 says, For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Mark 11:24 says, …Believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them! You must believe that you receive even if you don’t see it. This is an important factor when believing God for anything. Once you become absolutely convinced on the inside that you have it then you will get it. You’ve got to be thoroughly convinced that the work is done whether you see the manifestation or not.

The question we should ask ourselves is this: When shall I have it? Well, you’re not going to have it until after you believe that you receive it. When should I believe that I receive it? You should believe that you receive it before you have any kind of evidence that it exists! The “believe that ye receive” is your responsibility. The “ye shall have them” is God’s responsibility.

John 4:46-47 says, So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him; and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death. Verses 49-53 continues, The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down err my child die. Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way. And as he was going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth. Then inquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him. So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth…

Notice the man believed the words that Jesus had spoken unto him and went his way. He did not see any physical evidence of his son being healed before he believed, but yet he was totally convinced by what Jesus said unto him. He believed that Jesus told the truth! As a result of his faith the scripture said that his son began to amend the same hour that Jesus spoke to him. Now notice, the nobleman’s son began to amend. Sometime the “full manifestation” of healing comes later, but the actual healing takes place immediately!

Luke 17:11-14 says, And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them, God shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

The lepers acted on what Jesus said. They believed that Jesus told the truth and as they went forth to show themselves to the priests, they were cleansed. How did the lepers express their faith? They expressed their faith by obeying what Jesus said. When they obeyed the words of Jesus, the full manifestation of their healing came. Don’t give up if alarming symptoms seem to persist. Don’t panic, keep believing and confessing because you’ll have what you say.

This is how many Christians miss it when believing for healing. They will claim to believe God for healing, but instead they go by how their bodies feel. It’s easy to confess healing when you feel good. It’s a little more difficult to confess that you’re healed when your body is racked with pain, or your limbs are stiff and hard to move. However, when everything looks and feels contrary to what you believe, you still must be totally convinced on the inside that healing is yours.

Your healing isn’t based upon whether or not you see the manifestation. You must believe that you are healed even if it hasn’t been manifested. The fig tree that Jesus spoke to looked the same. But the next day it was withered away. (Matthew 21:19-20) When did it die? It died the moment Jesus spoke it. When did your disease die? It died the moment you believed. When did your healing come? It came the moment you believed.

Thank God healing is not based on feelings! Therefore, whenever you are believing God for something, you must see, through the eyes of faith, yourself as having that thing and then you must begin to rejoice in the same manner that you would if you actually had it in your hand, or in this case, in your body. So rejoice.

Healing is yours whether you feel it or not. Healing is not based on feelings! You may not be aware of it in your body until later, but sometimes that happens because manifestations of healings are not always INSTANTANEOUS!

Maranatha!
