About Pastor Holmes

Pastor Dana A. Holmes is the Founder and Pastor of Full Gospel Word & Worship Center, a rapidly growing church in Columbia, SC, and Beaufort, SC: one church—two locations. He was also instrumental in establishing churches in Chester, Sumter, and Gaffney SC; Gastonia, NC; Chattanooga, TN; Birmingham, AL; and Ghana, West Africa. His vision is to establish more churches in the USA and abroad. As a pastor, he understands how to minister to the needs of God’s people on every level. He boldly and enthusiastically teaches Bible-based doctrines in a simple manner so that anyone can understand them. His extensive audio ministry includes teachings on many topics and is designed to enlighten and enrich the lives of believers through God’s promises.

Pastor Holmes is the author of several books: What’s Next? A Guide For New Believers In Christ, Divine Healing: Meditations & Confessions, How To Pray For Your Pastor, You Can Pray With Confidence, Common Myths & Misconceptions Regarding Divine Healing, and Determining Divine Direction: How To Know When God Is Leading You. He is also the host of Healing Today, a weekly television broadcast which airs locally in Columbia, SC, on WLTX-19 and Beaufort, SC, on Cable Channel 17; internationally on Inspiration Network International (INI); internationally and nationally on Inspirational Life TV (ILife); and nationally on World Harvest Television (WHT) Direct TV Channel 367.

Born and raised in the city of New York, Pastor Holmes was miraculously healed as an infant after being given up by medical science to die. In 1973, he was licensed by the Deliverance Evangelistic Center Inc. and entered the ministry under the leadership of the late Rev. Arturo Skinner. Later in 1976, he was ordained through the Deliverance Evangelistic Center Inc. under the leadership of Rev. Ralph G. Nichol and began his pastoral ministry. In 1974, Pastor Holmes received a divine impartation through the laying on of hands of the late Rev. Arturo Skinner. As he laid his hands upon him, he declared, "Signs, Wonders, and Miracles." Pastor Holmes explains, "A few moments later, it felt like something hit me on the top of my head and went through me. At that moment, I said to myself, "I've got it." A few months later a door opened for him to speak at a church where he saw the lame walk, the sick healed, and the gifts of the spirit operate as he had never experienced before. Pastor Holmes has an undying passion for reaching the lost and ministering to the sick. He says that he "hates sickness and disease." Between August 1997 and March 1998, Pastor Holmes had four (4) divine encounters with the Lord which took his ministry to another level. The Lord directed Pastor Holmes to take the "message of divine healing" to the body of Christ, and doors opened in both the USA and abroad so that His directive could be obeyed. Pastor Holmes has traveled extensively conducting divine healing services and seminars. His foreign travels include: Haiti, the Bahamas, Trinidad & Tobago, Kenya, East Africa, Nigeria & Ghana, West Africa, the Netherlands, Greece, South Africa, England, the Philippines, and Israel. He has witnessed scores healed and set free from all manner of sicknesses and diseases. During his divine encounters with the Lord he was given an assignment which included teaching believers about their rights and privileges in Christ, including divine healing.
